Get Ready Greenies

Mark your calendar for Get Ready Greenies. This is the time you will come to the school to get your student ID (mandatory), locker, and parking pass (bring Driver’s License, vehicle registration and insurance card). Please report to the school anytime within the designated window of time for your grade level. Freshman ID cards and lockers will be given during the first week of school.

If you need to make a change to your schedule, please pick up the form in guidance the first week of school, August 18th through August 22nd, fill it out and return it to the guidance office.

The first day of school is August 18th. Students will report to alpha-homeroom (signs with room numbers will be posted throughout the school) and the tardy bell rings at 7:05 a.m. Enjoy the remaining days of summer.

Freshman Orientation

We are anxious for your arrival and look forward to seeing you and your parents at our Greenie Orientation on Thursday, August 14, 2014, at 4:00 p.m. in the FMHS auditorium.

The Student Government Association has prepared an exciting and informative program for you, along with a guest speaker to speak to parents.

Please try to arrive by 3:30 p.m. so that you have time to find parking, locate the auditorium, and check-in. After you hear the opening program, you will be given a tour to ensure that you feel familiar with our campus prior to the first day of school.

Fun is on the way, so mark your calendar, and plan to be welcomed to the Green Wave F.A.M.I.L.Y.!

Shakespeare Contest Winners

Congratulations to the winners of the Shakespeare contest! 1st place went to junior Megan Hilsman, who played the villain Richard II. Megan will now represent our school at the branch competition in Naples on February 22nd. Sophomore Kayla Rubano took 2nd place as Phoebe from As You Like It, and senior Sherley Rosario won 3rd place for her depiction of Juliet from Romeo and Juliet.

Florida KidCare

Through Florida KidCare, the state of Florida offers health insurance for children from birth through age 18, even if one or both parents are working. It includes four different parts. When you apply for the insurance, Florida KidCare will check which part your child may qualify for based on age and family income. Click here for more information about Florida KidCare
