CASTLE
Students will use Castle dashboard
for the following affairs this year:

level classrooms are used for school counselor request.
Hall Pass Process
At the start of the 2020-21
school year students will be given training on the use of CASTLE as it pertains
to hall passes. Requesting a hall pass is the students’
responsibility. Students will be given three hall passes per day.
A student who leaves the classroom MUST:

Ask for teacher
permission to leave classroom.
- CASTLE out of class by logging
into Castle on his/her Chromebook. The correct time the student left the classroom
will appear on screen and begin a timer.
- NOT use electronic devices
(cell phones, IPods, headphones, games, etc.) at any time while out of
classroom.
A student who
returns to the classroom MUST:

CASTLE in to class upon
return so that Castle can stop timer and track student back in class.
Must have
a signed pass with the date and time if returning from the Clinic, Main Office,
Media Center, or another teacher.
Discipline
·
Please refer to FOCUS
discipline along with the district code of conduct for more detailed
explanations of rules, rights and responsibilities.
·
While Electronic
devices are permitted in school, the use of such devices during instructional
time is not allowed. This extends to use
of ETDs in hallways, offices, RR, and other areas as well.
·
For minor infractions
(Level 1 and some Level 2), students will be tracked as minor infractions in
FOCUS set up with different protocols for each offense and occurrence of
offense. Escalating up in each incident
could result in a referral and discipline action being taken by
administration. Students that escalate
to referral status will adhere to district code of conduct guidelines.
Parent Portal /E-FORMS
All parents/guardians
must register the Focus Parent Portal as well as complete student directory
information and student health information. These online forms must be
completed each year even if no information has changed.

Breakfast
and Lunch Procedures
o Breakfast will be grab and go at 6 stations positioned around
campus. Students will visit one of the grab
and go areas grab his/her breakfast then MUST report to their 1st
block classroom.
o Lunch will be grab and go stationed in the cafeteria. Lunches will be consumed in specified areas
while practicing social distancing. All
students must practice social distancing while at lunch. Fort Myers High will be a part the “Community
Eligibility Program” for the upcoming 2020-2021 school year. All students will
receive breakfast and lunch at no cost.
Students MUST sit in a seat marked with a BLUE X. The BLUE X is to ensure social
distancing. These will be located
throughout campus.
o While
we encourage students to participate in the free lunch program at school, be
advised that lunch CANNOT be delivered to school during instructional time.
Lockers-NO LOCKERS WILL BE SOLD THIS YEAR
Parking Permits

o
Parking Permits can be
purchased at FMHS before school from 8-2 or in Student Affairs during the
school day.
o
Cost of parking
permits is $50
o

Students must have
valid Driver’s License
o
Students must bring a
copy of:

vehicle registration,
insurance card and driving form with parent signature
*Students should purchase parking decal in Student Affairs
BEFORE 1st bell of day or during scheduled lunch to purchase parking permit
Dress Code
o Mask are to be worn at all time while on campus with the
exception of while eating breakfast/Lunch.
o
All skirts worn should
be fingertip length/ bottoms should not have any skin exposed, rips or frays and
should be worn at the waist with a belt, if necessary
o
Shorts- MUST be worn
at the hip and be to the knee in length.
o
Leggings may be worn
with a top covering the buttock area.
They must not be made of transparent material.
o
Sleeveless, bare mid
-drift, transparent, or any top depicting illegal substances, inappropriate
pictures, messages, etc. are prohibited.
o All shirts/tops must be worn at the waist line.
Dismissal
o Dismissal will be conducted in
groups.

Hallways
o
Hallways
on FMHS campus will be labeled as one-way hallways. Students must follow
directional arrows as well as maintaining social distancing.
Restroom Usage
Due to social
distancing requirements the restrooms will not be open during class change. Students will be allowed to use the restroom
during classes.
